Code of Conduct

The Sacramento Gateway, including its designated roadways and parking lot, is private property.

The following Code of Conduct (“Code”) is set forth for the purpose of protecting the safety and well being of the visitors to The Sacramento Gateway as well as the legitimate business interests of The Sacramento Gateway and its vendors.

Your entry constitutes your consent to abide by all the posted rules governing conduct, traffic, and parking.

As a visitor, you are prohibited from engaging in any of the following activities while at The Sacramento Gateway:

1. Using physical force, obscene language, obscene gestures, racial, religious or ethnic slurs, fighting words, obscenities, pornography, grisly or gruesome displays, highly inflammatory slogans or materials likely to provoke disturbance.

2. Physically or verbally threatening any person.

3. Fighting, annoying others through noisy or boisterous activities or by following another person through The Sacramento Gateway or by using sexually explicit language or conduct, or in any other way creating a disturbance which interferes with, disrupts or endangers The Sacramento Gateway patrons or tenants.

4. Running, skating, skateboarding, bicycling, obstructing or physically interfering with the conduct of business, the movement of customers and tenants, or with the customary uses of The Sacramento Gateway or with the patrons’ view of windows and other tenant displays or assembling for the purpose of disturbing the peace or committing any unlawful act.

5. Creating litter, or throwing, discarding, or depositing any paper, glass or other matter of any kind on The Sacramento Gateway, except in designated trash receptacles.

6. Vandalizing, defacing, damaging, destroying or removing any real or personal property constituting part of or located at The Sacramento Gateway, its patrons or its tenants, including writing, spraying, scratching or otherwise affixing graffiti on such property.

7. Yelling, screaming, singing, playing of musical instruments or sound devices of enough volume to infringe on the hearing or peace of other patrons of The Sacramento Gateway.

8. Engaging in non-commercial expressive activity without obtaining a permit from the management of The Sacramento Gateway.

9. Soliciting money or other contributions or donations or distributing commercial advertising or promotional material of any kind, or offering samples of items which are sold, available for sale, or available for exchange for a donation or contribution.

10. Lewd behavior or failing to be fully clothed or wearing apparel which provokes a disturbance or embroils other groups or the general public in open conflict.

11. Sitting on floors, planters, handrails, stairs, fountains, bollards or trash receptacles.

12. Possessing any open can, bottle or other receptacle containing any alcoholic beverage, except in areas specifically designated for the consumption of alcohol by those of legal drinking age.

13. Loitering, delaying, lingering, or remaining idle without any useful business for being present.

14. Photographing or videotaping the interior or exterior of The Sacramento Gateway for commercial purposes without written permission from management.

15. Engaging in any unlawful activity or behavior.

16. Possession or carrying a weapon of any kind, openly or concealed, with or without a permit.

17. Inserting any foreign object or substance into any fountain or planter at The Sacramento Gateway.

18. Possessing or using any controlled substance, drug, or appearing intoxicated.
